Keeping it in the family! Johnny Depp's 15-year-old daughter Lily-Rose Depp is making her Hollywood debut in Kevin Smith's forthcoming horror comedy Yoga Hosers, co-starring with her famous dad.

Protective father Depp was eager his kids with ex-partner Vanessa Paradis (Lily-Rose and Jack, 12) grew up out of the public eye, spending much of their childhoods living in the South of France.

But with the entire family now residing in Los Angeles, Depp is evidently ready to let his teenage daughter follow in his acting footsteps, taking a lead role opposite director Smith's daughter Harley Quinn Smith in his new movie.

“People always ask me ‘Are you ever going to make a comic book movie?’” Smith told Us Weekly of the new film, via a statement from producers Starstream Entertainment. “This is it - but instead of yet another dude saving the day, our antiheroes are the most feared and formidable creatures man has ever encountered: two fifteen year old girls.”

In fact this movie, which has just started shooting, is not officially Lily-Rose's first onscreen appearance. She and Harley had cameos in Kevin's previous film Tusks, and their characters are spin-offs from that. Johnny also had a brief appearance in that film which will premiere in September at the Toronto Film Festival.

"We are thrilled to be making a teen comic book movie with Harley Quinn Smith and Lily-Rose Depp," Executive Producer Kim Leadford told Us. "The timing couldn't be more perfect as so many production companies are struggling to find content to fill a serious void in the market of female superheroes and antiheroes. And, it's pretty exciting to have their dads making the film with them."

Lily-Rose, who has a personal blog where she describes herself as "just your average 15 year old," is philosophical about growing up as the daughter of a superstar and the advantages that presents.

"People constantly ask what it's like to be a "celebrity's kid" or at the attention of strangers," she wrote in April. "I gain a lot and I lose a lot."
