Blizzard has again reiterated that it is "exploring" a console port for Diablo 3, this time confirming it's got a build of the dungeon crawler "up and running".
Speaking to Polygon, Blizzard's chief creative officer Rob Pardo confirmed the possible console version is not yet an official project, but added that it's "looking pretty cool".
He said: "We're still kind of exploring it. We've got builds up and running on it. We're hoping to get it far enough along where we can make it an official project, but we're not quite ready to release stuff about it, but it's looking pretty cool."
Lead designer Jay Wilson reiterated in another interview that the studio is still only "exploring console options."
"The whole team is essentially working on the next big Diablo thing," he said. "A lot of that stuff will show up next year at some point."
Earlier this year Wilson claimed that Blizzard is 'very serious' about doing a console version of Diablo 3.
More recently the studio confirmed that a Diablo 3 expansion is in development and that the dungeon crawler has cleared 10 million units sold.
